Interesing fact to find out if one's in love

| | | |

“Are We in Love?”

With all these considerations, many are still left asking the big question, “Are we really in love?” As you try to answer that question, ask the following:

Do you love to talk to one another all the time—in all occasions? Do you enjoy virtually every minute that you spend together? Do you find that with each new date, you become more interested in the other person—in what he thinks, what she does, what he hopes and dreams, what she has to say?

Respect is one of the most important aspects of human relations, and it flows from many tangibles and intangibles. Do you deeply respect each other? This is not a simple, friendly respect, but a deep and growing mutual respect that leads directly to trust.

Once you make your decision, it is no longer a matter of finding a man or a woman who is pleasing to you, but instead trying now to see how you can best please this man or this woman you have come to deeply love—and have chosen to love. Are you prepared to make the continual enhancement of that love a lifelong goal?

Recall that the world is all about “falling in love at first sight.” But this does not happen! Most of humanity continually looks for a “quick fix” in life, not understanding that doing things God’s way almost always takes time! It takes time to grow in character, and anything of beauty and worth takes time and effort. Artists must realize this if they hope to create a masterpiece. Some of the greatest masterpieces take months, or even years, to produce.

Love is the same! It cannot happen overnight or in an instant. You may feel physical attraction immediately, but real, deep love is entirely different. Be careful and, quite literally, “take heed lest you fall” (I Cor. 10:12) in lust, not love. Do not allow your human nature to deceive you. Many have been blinded, to their own hurt. Will this be you?

Love develops only through careful and proper dating and courtship. A relationship between a man and a woman is a wonderful, God-ordained institution, if you allow it to grow and develop. This is applicable to everything of quality.

Real love is never blind. Too often, when a couple allow themselves to become infatuated, they ignore all differences and all weaknesses in each other. Grasp this next point—it is most vital. If you feel there is nothing wrong with your prospective mate, you are kidding yourself—and perhaps willingly deceiving yourself because you are too focused on the physical, what it will be like in bed together! Acknowledge and accept that there will be little idiosyncrasies in the other person. Be sure you are willing to live with both those you see and those you may not yet see.

Finally, on the matter of “Are we in love?”: Are your feelings and actions toward each other selfless? Does the relationship “line up” in all the critical ways discussed? Is God’s involvement evident in your relationship? Do you find that you simply “cannot get enough” of all that is the other person?

Anything less than brutal honesty with these questions brings a failing grade on the test!

THE BLAME AND SHAME GAME

Background: Chronology of Recent Events

July 12, 2006: Hezbollah militants kidnap two Israeli soldiers patrolling along the northern Israel border. Three soldiers are killed and five more die in subsequent confrontations inside Lebanon. In a failed attempt to prevent the transportation of the kidnapped soldiers, Israeli forces attack installations and Hezbollah positions.

Hezbollah demands the release of thousands of Palestinian prisoners and one Lebanese prisoner.

Israel files a complaint, urging the UN to enforce council resolutions calling on the Lebanese government to disarm all militias within its borders and to extend its authority throughout its territory.

July 10: Mr. Meshaal says the captured Israeli soldier will not be freed without a prisoner swap, but pledges that his life will be protected.

Responding to international criticism, Mr. Olmert defends Israel’s offensive in Gaza, saying he has no set timetable for the operation.

Two Palestinians in south Gaza are killed by Israeli aircraft.

July 9: Since July 5, air strikes on Gaza raise the death toll to 41 Palestinians and one Israeli soldier. Defense Minister Amir Peretz acknowledges that “so far there has been no success” in the military operation.

Mr. Abbas sends two envoys to Hamas’s exiled political leader Khaled Meshaal and Syrian authorities to discuss the crisis.

July 8: Israeli forces advance toward Gaza City, killing four Palestinians. Other units pull back from northern Gaza to a security zone.

Palestinian premier Ismail Haniya calls for a mutual ceasefire.

July 7: In another air raid on northern Gaza, an armed Palestinian is killed. Another two are killed in the Beit Lahiya area.

Mr. Abbas says Israel is committing “new crimes against humanity.”

July 6: Israel enters deeper into the northern Gaza Strip, reoccupying areas evacuated 10 months ago; 22 Palestinian civilians and militants and one Israeli soldier are killed.

Two 16-year-old Palestinians are killed in an Israeli raid in the northern West Bank town of Jenin.

The UN Security Council debates a draft resolution demanding an immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces and the release of detained Palestinian officials. The United States describes the resolution as “unbalanced.”

July 5: Israeli warplanes strike the interior ministry in Gaza City for the second time.

Israel’s security cabinet orders the military to intensify air raids against Hamas and “targeted killings” of militants.

July 4: A nighttime air raid kills a Hamas activist in northern Gaza while troops advance into the area in a “limited” operation.

For the first time, Hamas militants fire a rocket into Ashkelon, a southern Israeli coastal town. There are no casualties.

July 3: Groups holding the Israeli soldier issue a 24-hour deadline. Israel rejects the ultimatum.

Israeli troops and armored divisions enter the northern Gaza Strip after a series of air raids; one Palestinian militant is killed.

Israel raids charity associations linked to Hamas in the West Bank, seizing paperwork and equipment.

July 2: Mr. Haniya condemns Israel’s air raid on the Palestinian government’s Gaza office, urging the international community to take action against Israel.

Prime Minister Olmert warns that his forces will use all their power to free Shalit.

A spokesman for Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas says mediation efforts are nearing an impasse.

July 1: Israel rejects Palestinian demands to free 1,000 prisoners. The captured soldier is said to have been treated by a Palestinian doctor for three bullet wounds.

June 30: Targeting radical militants in Gaza City, an Israeli air strike sets the Interior Ministry ablaze. Three Palestinians are wounded.

Israel revokes the Jerusalem residency rights of a Hamas minister and three MPs.

Prime Minister Ismail Haniya vows that his Hamas-led government will not fall. Insisting that they are working to free the captured soldier, he accuses Israel of jeopardizing their efforts by attacking Gaza.

June 29: Israel detains dozens of Hamas officials, including a third of the Palestinian cabinet and several lawmakers.

The abducted settler is found shot dead in the West Bank.

As Israel suspends a ground offensive expected in northern Gaza, Egypt tries to mediate a solution, stating that Hamas agrees to secure the soldier’s release, but only under certain conditions.

June 28: Israeli troops enter the Gaza Strip to recover the captured soldier.

The Popular Resistance Committees threaten to kill the West Bank settler if the troops are not withdrawn. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says Israel will use “extreme measures” to rescue the prisoner.

Though urging caution, the U.S. says that Israel has the right to defend itself.

Israeli aircraft fly over Syria, home to several exiled Hamas leaders.

June 27: Hamas signs an agreement aimed at ending internal conflict; it also implicitly recognizes Israel’s existence.

Palestinian activists abduct a second Israeli youth from a Jewish settlement in the West Bank.

Israeli aircraft attack key points in the Gaza Strip, destroying bridges and knocking out the territory’s only power station, cutting off electricity to many of the 1.4 million residents.

June 26: Three militant Palestinian organizations—the Popular Resistance Committees, the Army of Islam and the armed wing of Hamas—claim to have captured a 19-year-old Israeli soldier, demanding that Israel free detained women and minors.

June 25: Palestinian militants attack an army post on the Israel-Gaza border, killing two soldiers and capturing a third. Israel starts to increase forces around Gaza.

James 3 (New International Version)

Taming the Tongue
1Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

3When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5Likewise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

7All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, 8but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

9With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. 10Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. 11Can both fresh water and salt[a] water flow from the same spring? 12My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

this truly is a reflection and lesson for me. but rather, when i read this passage again, i just think of this one person of whom i really have to share this passage with him/her. o ya, really, sometimes u have to be careful of how you put your words to others. it does not mean that if you are of certain superiority in a particular area (e.g. academics or maturity) compared to someone else, you can have to right to shoot down the other party verbally. Take it for instance, a PhD tells a diploma holder to do assignments but says it in ways which are not very pleasing, making the diploma holder feel so stupid and inferior. So please, whoever you are, please spare a thought for the other party. We are all but human beings, and for we have emotions, so please...yea.....

i'm saying all these because one of my friends got bored and felt inferior. my God, ugly people. It's better not to be individualistic at all times. Remember - others before self. I'm not saying i am a fine example to follow, I'm trying to learn too. Let's make the world a better place even though the world is changing everyday.

misunderstandings often occur

| | | |
"..... afraid you misunderstand...."
anyways, this is what kept appearing on my mind....

well, dear brothers and sisters, i am aware that there are many out there who are facing crisis be it in areas of schoolwork, work, office politics, family or even friends. but come on, all these problems are just so on the surface and superficial. what can beat the love and bonding in each and everyone of us.

1 Corinthians 13

Love
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

what a wonderful message that i suddenly recalled of. meaningful, sweet, lovely and glorious. You are the one for me. I guess the One and Only.

Prepared? Exciting?

| | | |
as human beings, we often look forward to something but sometimes when some matters are concerned, we tend not to be a shape or prepared for them. well well, things and issues like these often arise. i dunno, more often than not, we are surrounded by a pool of such events.

it's tough to be unprepared, as in when times if disasters strike, we will be in deep shit if we do not know how to handle the situations.

but then coming to think of it, there're times in lives where there'll be things we will feel excited about but then we dare not take up the challenge. y? it's just me/us. yeah...don't understand? it's ok... i'm typing all these crap just to exercise my finger muscles.

Israel calls up army reservists
Israel has called up thousands of reserve troops and told civilians to quit southern Lebanon immediately, amid threats of a large-scale incursion.

Israeli troops are already fighting Hezbollah inside Lebanon and have been heavily shelling the border area.

Correspondents in Tyre say the sound of explosions is constant, and with villages cut off and roads severed, people are in grave peril.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah rockets have again hit the Israeli city of Haifa.

The crisis was triggered by the capture of two Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah militants on 12 July.

In other developments:

  • US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says she is travelling to the Middle East on Sunday to seek a lasting solution to the crisis - but not an immediate ceasefire that would return the region to the pre-conflict era

The Israeli Defence Forces... will bomb intensively any area from which rockets are being launched towards Israel. Whoever remains in that area puts his life in danger
Israeli Army leaflet

  • A UN-run observation post on the border was struck by a shell or mortar during fighting between Israel and Hezbollah militants, but no-one was hurt

  • French Defence Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said France would launch an evacuation mission to rescue about 400 French citizens trapped in southern Lebanon

  • The evacuation of other foreign nationals from Lebanon has continued, with thousands more expected to arrive in Cyprus on Friday

    Leaflets on Lebanon

Correspondents in Jerusalem say it is understood the Israeli reservists being called up could fill in for troops in the West Bank and Gaza, releasing other soldiers to go up to the northern front.

The move has widened speculation that Israel is preparing for a large ground offensive.

  • Israeli Defence Minister Amir Peretz has warned that Israel is prepared to launch a full-scale ground operation if necessary, saying "we have no intention of conquering Lebanon but... we will do it without thinking twice".

The call-up came as Israel dropped leaflets on southern Lebanon warning residents to immediately evacuate an area approximately 32km (20 miles) wide.

Senior Lebanese officials said the country's army would go into battle if Israel invaded Lebanon.

The regional capital of south Lebanon, Sidon, says that about 28,000 internally displaced people have already crammed into the small sea port and that it is now becoming dangerously overcrowded.

One man told the BBC he had been forced from his home in Tyre because "Israel was bombing everywhere".

Sidon's mayor has warned that food, medicines, water and accommodation are running out.

Israel has continued its campaign of air strikes with war planes bombing more than 40 targets, mainly in southern parts of Beirut in the early hours of Friday.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora said the number of Lebanese killed in the 10 days of violence is now more than 330.

In northern Israel, two fresh waves of Hezbollah rockets hit the city of Haifa, causing at least 15 injuries.

Three were injured, though none seriously, when a rocket landed on a post office on Masarik square.

One witness who was just 30 metres from the building when it was attacked described the moment the missile struck.

"There was a very strong boom and people were panicking and running in different directions. People were crying and did not know what to do," Kiwan Ghalev told the BBC.

Thirty-four Israelis have been killed in the fighting, including 15 civilians killed by rockets fired by Hezbollah into Israel.

In an interview with Arabic TV network al-Jazeera, Hezbollah's leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said his group would give up the Israeli soldiers only in a prisoner exchange.

Sheikh Nasrallah added that the Israeli attacks had not dented Hezbollah's capabilities.

sometimes i just feel people have nothing better to do. i just cannot understand why these people wants to attack Israel? what do they stand to gain? power? land? natural resources? what else? PLEASE - WORLD PEACE... by faith i believe Israel will not be defeated, for its ground are protected. Lord, may your protection fall upon the people of Israel!

    & i continue wondering...am i stupid or what...

    | | | |
and yes, i continue to ponder time and again...

"AM I STUPID TO DO CERTAIN THINGS?"

and most likely the answer is yes... i don't understand why. the systems around me are all so screwed up, so pissing me off, the people (some) really blowing off my mind but why am i so devoted to helping? why? Am i being a simaritan in a right or wrong way? i am not sure too. Seeking an answer from Above.

Luke 10: 25-37 (King James Version) says
25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

And so, i tried to be one good simaritan, helping people as much as i can but i realized some people just do not appreciate. but why? "love my neighbour as myself" - i am trying to do that... and so i realized this why the Lord spoke unto me this " son, serve without favour(s) in return". at this time of the very wee hours of the morning, when i try my best to sleep so much but i can't, i was slapped right on my face with that statement where God gave me. I'm thankful, confessing that i did not like that answer but i think it made total sense! There's a problem with my attitude.

coming to the point of my attitude, i finally realized the problems within me. All praise to Thee! i think the thing where i need to work on is to speak with grace. I will try my best to change. well, it's my foul mouth... i will work on it.

Praise Be to God! Reelway Pictures clinched a deal with IPOS - Golden Village. at least can lighten our financial burden on ourselves (the reelwayers).

Matthew 6:19-24 (New International Version) says
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

    Well well...
going for shoot in a few hours time... c what i mean? yeah... why am i doing this? smiles...

looking @ these photos while spending my free time reading up on the happenings around the world.. went to Reuters website and saw these photo reports. Really, they moved me to almost tears. And as i think about how life is for me right now, i just think that i am having too much of a good time on the part of the earth where i am standing. But maybe i just can't understand why i cannot enjoy life to the fullest even though i'm in a blessed and protected territory.

and as i continued reading on the written reports from BBC, CNN and Reuters, i just can't help but sympathise with the victims out there. i just can't imagine if any of my loved ones just becomes washed away by frantic huge waves. More often than not, it's because we do not cherish one another during times of peace and when disasters as such strike, we have no way to run away from them, so some perish while some get to live in undue bad living conditions.

to some who read this post, i urge you guys to give it a second thought about this occurence. yes, some might be petty, childish or whatever he/she may be. but no matter what, just remember that to live each day is by grace and mercy from the One above. just cherish what we have now people...

    Sunday, July 16, 2006 | | | |
Well this is my actual post for today. Yes, i've not been posting for days.
Went to church service today and missed Barnabas club... doing my regional cinema seminar prep until so late then morning can't wake up. shit man...

Service was good. Message was good. Cell group was good. Well well, at least i could stay away from the personally much-hated ngee ann polytechnic. Feels good man! Service ended, someone's girlfriend (guess who...hahaha) offered me conflakes made at home as promised over the phone on friday. Tastes good...not bad...but maybe a bit too sweet la huh...but nevertheless, tastes good...At least my brother's gonna be fed with nice nice food... They very funny lar...that couple huh...all the best...

It's gonna be boring ya...tmr's gonna be another sad day in ngee ann. just can't wait to graduate and serve the nation! haha

And so, my thoughts of what was preached by Dennis during cell today. I thought about it on my way back home on the train. Very strong passage to me.

1 And Hannah prayed and said:

    “My heart rejoices in the LORD;
My horn[a] is exalted in the LORD.
    I smile at my enemies,
Because I rejoice in Your salvation.

2 “No one is holy like the LORD,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.

    3 “Talk no more so very proudly;
Let no arrogance come from your mouth,
    For the LORD is the God of knowledge;
And by Him actions are weighed.

4 “The bows of the mighty men are broken,
And those who stumbled are girded with strength.

5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread,
And the hungry have ceased to hunger.
Even the barren has borne seven,
And she who has many children has become feeble.

    6 “The LORD kills and makes alive;
He brings down to the grave and brings up.

    7 The LORD makes poor and makes rich;
He brings low and lifts up.

8 He raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,
    To set them among princes
And make them inherit the throne of glory.

“For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s,
And He has set the world upon them.

9 He will guard the feet of His saints,
But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.

“For by strength no man shall prevail.

    10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces;
From heaven He will thunder against them.
The LORD will judge the ends of the earth.

“He will give strength to His king,
And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

11 Then Elkanah went to his house at Ramah. But the child ministered to the LORD before Eli the priest.
    The Wicked Sons of Eli

12 Now the sons of Eli were corrupt;[b] they did not know the LORD. 13 And the priests’ custom with the people was that when any man offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant would come with a three-pronged fleshhook in his hand while the meat was boiling. 14 Then he would thrust it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; and the priest would take for himself all that the fleshhook brought up. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there. 15 Also, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man who sacrificed, “Give meat for roasting to the priest, for he will not take boiled meat from you, but raw.”
16 And if the man said to him, “They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him, “No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.”
17 Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.
    Samuel’s Childhood Ministry

18 But Samuel ministered before the LORD, even as a child, wearing a linen ephod. 19 Moreover his mother used to make him a little robe, and bring it to him year by year when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice. 20 And Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “The LORD give you descendants from this woman for the loan that was given to the LORD.” Then they would go to their own home.
21 And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. Meanwhile the child Samuel grew before the LORD.
    Prophecy Against Eli’s Household

22 Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel,[c] and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 23 So he said to them, “Why do you do such things? For I hear of your evil dealings from all the people. 24 No, my sons! For it is not a good report that I hear. You make the LORD’s people transgress. 25 If one man sins against another, God will judge him. But if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” Nevertheless they did not heed the voice of their father, because the LORD desired to kill them.
26 And the child Samuel grew in stature, and in favor both with the LORD and men.
27 Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the LORD: ‘Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? 28 Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire? 29 Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?’ 30 Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the LORD says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 31 Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house. 32 And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever. 33 But any of your men whom I do not cut off from My altar shall consume your eyes and grieve your heart. And all the descendants of your house shall die in the flower of their age. 34 Now this shall be a sign to you that will come upon your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall die, both of them. 35 Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever. 36 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and say, “Please, put me in one of the priestly positions, that I may eat a piece of bread.”’”

    My learning points

    1. Do not rob God
    1 Samuel 2:12-16
I guess i am really neglecting the Lord. My life now is really like a cycle. Go to school, come back from school late at night. Do my work, tired then lie down on bed and sleep. The cycle repeats itself. I've been blessed so much, really so much but i have been robbing God of His grace and mercy and I've not been spending enough time of solitute with him. What on earth is happening to me??!?!?! I'm sorry Lord!

    2. Do not treat the Lord with contempt (contempt: The feeling or attitude of regarding someone or something as inferior, base, or worthless; scorn)
    1 Samuel 2:17
    so clear cut....
Matthew 12:30"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Came across this verse. And really.... Lord I fear You.

    3. Teach my next generations the righteous way before it's too late
    1 Samuel 2:23-25, 27-29
Just like Eli who only disciplined his children only towards the very last minute, it was really too late. His family and generations down were cursed. As for myself, i better repent those areas which i have to before teaching the correct values to my sheeps. Proverbs 22:6 (King James Version) 6Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Indeed, this is a very meaningful verse... train up a CHILD not a MAN....it's so true that a man is so much harder to train...the older a person, the more stubborn and more likely less teachable spirit. so ya....

    Unfair!!!

Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts Dr Lee Boon Yang said the government was duty-bound to respond to unfair and unjustified comments on key government policies.

The minister said, in a mainstream newspaper, you have to be objective, you have to be accurate, you have to be responsible for your views.

He added: "And that's always been my position, or the position of this Government - that the mainstream newspaper must report accurately, objectively and responsibly.

"And that they must adopt this model that they are part of this nation-building effort, rather than go out and purvey views that would mislead people, confuse people, which will in fact undermine our national strategy!"

TO BE LOVED IS TO FIRST LOVE

this quote just keeps on running on my mind. really very meaningful. remembered once my beloved spiritual daddy Dennis told me this quote... I felt that it's just purely a simple quote by itself. But in fact, now that there're many things going on in my life at this facet, i have given this quote a deep and intense thought.

Someone from my course posted a comment to my blog. in fact, i would like to express my utmost gratitute and thanks to this sister (from FSV). yes.... FSV suck and it still suck and most of the people there always will. however, this is just one nice sister whom have quoted the same quote from the bible "to be love is to first love" and "we love because He first love us". i can fully understand this point. at this chapter of my life, even when unfavourable situations may fall on me and i may feel so damn down... i will still hold on to because my life was given and exchanged.

i am concerned for this schoolmate.... and there's another person who's really concerned for this schoolmate of ours too. this schoolmate's really having a very grave matter/ problem. whatever it is... Lord to You i plead that You'll set this person from from the strongholds of this person's life. and to You i pray against any form of deceptions and principalities of the airs and of the spiritual realms and You will give Your protection to this schoolmate of ours. Father, i pray too for another classmate who is facing temptation. I pray You'll set this person free from it.

Father, allow me to be still in Your presence even though I'm in this plight.

    Hide me now
    Under your wings
    Cover me
    within your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God

    Find rest my soul
    In Christ alone
    Know his power
    In quietness and trust

    Good evening bad evening

    Saddistic title? don't care much...

I had media law test on the topic of confidence today in the afternoon. Wah... think will not do well... at least for sure. Thank you wendy for zapping a copy of the cases for me. English written in the law cases are so difficult to read, as if one's reading a foreign language. seriously...don't ever study law. not fun at all... even my lecturer says that...

Went over for screening for the cinematograhy - directing projects at the preview theatre. Ya went there early and crashed Dr. V's tutorial with another class.. what an extra i am... what am i doing there? enjoy aircon? don't think so... maybe because of the comfortable chair... Let out poisonous chemicals at the back of the preview theatre. Adam had sensitive nose and ran away? Powerful right? That's why we must have good chemical defence techniques and skills. Just before screening started, something happened. Oh my.... shocking....

too tired to continue.... had a bad time...
